Melb, I love you

Dear Melbourne,

You were only supposed to be the first step of this big trip. The « plan » was to stay here a few weeks to make some money before heading up North for a big journey! And now I’m here falling in love with your atmoshere, your art, your food, your outdoors, your night out and your people. Melbourne, growing and growing every year for some reasons….

Crazy about Sports

The AFL (like the Ligue 1 in France) Grand Final day was a public holiday. So is the Melbourne Cup day. That’s it.

Heaven on earth for Foodies and Wine Lovers

« How is the food?? Do you eat well and enough?? »: this is what my mum worries the most about. And I just can answer her « No worries ». You can easily find any kind of food from all over the world at any price. Local products from Aussie farmers are also affordable and very good quality. The Queen Victoria Market has become one my favorite places in Melb.

Green, Green… Green Everywhere

Melbourne is a city, like a real city with its CBD and its skycrapers, its lively night outs, its tons of cafés et restaurants, its trafic, its expensive accomodation and its busy transports in the morning. But if Melbourne was one more time chosen as the most liveable city in the world for the fifth time, it must be thanks to the many gardens ans parks that you can find all over the city. I reckon that every inhabitant in Melbourne can find a green within a 15 minute walk, which cannot be found in France even in a pretty small city like Bordeaux.

Coffee, an institution

Here « Can I have a coffee please » does not mean anything. If you want a coffee as you do after your lunch in France, you should ask for a short black (or a espresso, I still have not get the difference between those ones…).
